How To Taper And End The Usage Of Suboxen?

I have been on 8mg suboxen for a year and a half. I have slowly tapered down after the 4th month of starting the suboxen program and I am currently on 2mg a day. I want to get off this drug - every other area of my life has improved IMMENSLY and I am holding onto my old life through the Suboxen. Any suggestions on how to taper and end this altogether?

Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You can further taper the dose to half tablet per day. Then you can take half tablet on alternate day and then SOS. Keep your doctor informed about this.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shubham Mehta
