How To Taper Off Lortab?

My boyfriend is trying to quit taking lortabs 10 after his successful hip replacement surgery. He is worried about the withdraws. He does not want to rely on another drug like suboxen. He would like to gradually reduce the amount of pills he is taking. Any suggestions?

Hi
Thanks for using healthcare magic

In that case, either he can gradually decrease the dose one by one or switch to partial agonist like suboxen or methadone. Better to go for partial agonist as these drugs control by expert. It would give him better chance to come out of this addiction.

Thanks
