Hello
I have gone through your question and understand your concern. High triglycerides can also be a sign of poorly controlled type 2 diabetes, low levels of thyroid hormone, liver or kidney disease and metabolic syndrome. Statins are contraindicated for breastfeeding mothers, you can consider life style modifications to reduce the triglyceride levels in blood.
Take up test for thyroid, blood sugars, liver and kidney function along with HbA 1 c to rule out the cause of increased levels of triglyceride. Omega 3 fatty acids and oats can be taken but diet is not sufficient to increase your metabolism and decrease fat. Physical activity along with healthy diet is recommended. Good luck. Hope your concern is answered. Thank you.
