Hi
From your notes it appears that she is 8 weeks pregnant.
If you both do not wish to keep this
pregnancy, consult family physician/Gynecologist to abort the baby.
There are two options to abort.
1.
Medical abortion where two types of medicines ( anti
progesterone and
prostaglandin) are given to her for abortion. Your doctor will examine and assess and if there are no contraindications and the pregnancy is in the uterus she will advise her to go with medical abortion. Medical abortion is about 95% effective. It can be used up to 9 weeks of pregnancy. Most women ( 80%) abort within 24 hours of taking the second pill. Some take little longer. After aborting the pregnancy she may have light bleeding for two weeks. Get an
ultrasound done after two weeks to make sure that the abortion process is complete.
Since she is aiready 8 weeks pregnant she may bleed heavily. If she soaks 2pads/hour for more than two hours she must see her doctor.
2. If she has contraindications to medical abortion (medical diseases like addisons disease, etc) then the doctor will advise a minor surgery to abort the baby.
If you do not want to have babies at present I advise you both to discuss with your doctor and start regular
contraception like
hormonal contraception or intrauterine devise as they are very effective in preventing pregnancy.
