ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, thanks for your query.
In my opinion, there is no remedy for both your question.
Wax is normal secretion of the ceruminous glands present in the ear canal. For some patients it is secreted more, hence it comes out. Get the wax cleaned by a specialist once in 6 months.
There is no treatment to stop wax formation.
Same also there is no preventive measure to stop the patient developing ear disease causing hearing loss.
In children, when ever they gave cold they tend to get middle ear infection. So don't allow this to happen. Treat the cold at early stages and prevent from ears getting infected.
hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.
