My mom has multiple myloma. Platelet counts keeps dropping. Doc is giving procrit injections to boost blood cell, but nothing additional for platelets. Anything out there effective for boosting platelets? She s currently getting 2 chemo injections per week & takes steriods Mondays thru Thursdays.Has taken revlamid in the past to boost counts & it worked, but side effects were bad bad bad. Doc discontinued revlamid becuase of that, but may start again (lower dose) soon because her counts are so low.
