Hi Doc's. I am a 32 Years old male from Mumbai, Height 5ft 11 Inch, and Weight 86. I have been having High Cold and Cough for more than 10 days and Tingling on the left palm, shown to the general physician but was not able to get cure. Have shown to an MD who is well known. He suggested me to take Lathinic AX for 3 days and Zycold twice a day for 10 days. Also he recommend me to do general testing as i had stress due to work and family. All reports are normal except Vitamin B12 and D3. My Vitamin B12 is 146 PG/ML and Vitamin D3 is 6 Ng/ml. He started me to take calcirol sachet with a cup of milk once in a week for 12 Weeks and Injection Methycobal 500 MG injection alternate days 10 injection.. I believe the doc;s just wanted a piece of advice from you and also how i can increase my B12 adn D 3 vitamin Naturally . also anything which I need to take care..
Hello, I appreciate your concern and i would like to tell you that your doctor is going absolutely in right direction by advising you vitamin B12 and calcitriol sachets with milk. The tingling like symptoms will definitely pass away as your B12 level will reach upto normal level. Coming back to your main question, i Vitamin B12 is the only water soluble vitamin which can be stored in our body and it is not present in vegeterian food, so naturally its deficiency is more common. I would suggest you to have eggs in your breakfast,if you can eat them, otherwise you can have milk and milk products like curd to increase B12 level. So when it is stored in your body, it will be sufficient for 1 to 2 year and if you can keep eating milky products on regular basis, then you will not have to take injections. Vitamin D3 can be synthesized in our body in the presence of Ultraviolet rays, so you can have regular sunbath in morning (upto 11 am) and your D3 level will naturally be increased in your body. It can be stored in our body, so again it will be sufficient for 1 to 2 year. You can also take milk and milky products which also contain some amount of D3 and calcium. Hope that it will help you.
