hello and thanks for the query,

I completely understand your issue.

Abortion can be procured by following means:
1. medical abortion: meaning abortion done using tablets up to 63 days after the missed period, best till 49 days.

2. surgical abortion: done by a procedure called D and C in an operation theater. The abortion can be performed till 12 weeks.
another way is by instilling drugs inside the uterus and waiting for baby to abort. done in advanced pregnancy beyond 12 weeks. Also the legal upper gestation up to which abortion can be performed varies in different countries.
In some countries it is banned. So please check up these issue according to your residence.
The procedure in my country and for that matter the safest way to get it done is by visiting a gynecologist, getting the patient examined to locate the site of pregnancy [ rule out an ectopic or tubal pregnancy that may occur sometimes], determine if the patient has any other condition that is a contra indication for abortion. If everything is OK, then pills can be prescribed or any other method suggested according to the case.

Also it is wise to use some contraceptive in future as abortions are associated with some complications.

Commonly used drugs for medical abortion are mifepristone and misoprostol, available after prescription.
So visit a gynecologist, discuss all these issues and then decide about further course of action.

I hope that I have answered your query.
