Hello and welcome to HCM,
Sarcoidosis is a disorder which is probably immune mediated.
Herpes is a viral infection which is accentuated by depressed immunity i.e. when immunity id depressed by any cause the incidence of this infection is more.
Sarcoidosis is treated by steroids in majority of cases.
Steroids also suppress immunity thus long term steroid therapy predisposes to infections like herpes infection.
The situation is tricky.
The treatment of sarcoidosis cannot be stopped since the disease will flare up if treatment is stopped.
Herpes infection needs to be managed by appropriate anti viral therapy.
Good nutrition needs to be maintained for general well being.

Thanks and take care
