How To Get Rid Of Swollen Lump Around The Anus?

Hello, I recently had diarrhea the other day and after the diarrhea reduced I had a pain around the outside of my anus. At first it felt like a burn from the diarrhea but later it started to feel like a lump causing pressure and pain around my anus. When I took a look it was a small swollen lump around the anus that seems to have formed. I thought that it was maybe an abscess that had been created but I m not sure, it doesn t seem to want to drain and it feels harder than it did at first so I m not sure what it is or how to get rid of it?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Welcome to hcm,
It's difficult to diagnose without examining, Based on your description I think it could be an abscess or piles. Take a course of antibiotics if it's abscess then it will reduce in size. If its piles it will be painless and may cause bleeding per rectum. If size doesn't decrease or if it's painful then consult your doctor for proper diagnosis.

Thank you
