How To Get Rid Of Moldy Smell?
My husband says he smells a moldy smell in our home coming from our basement but every time he checks the crawl spaces, etc., he can find no odor and no one else can smell it. His EENT doctor can find no sinusitis problem. It is quite a problem because he says he has trouble breathing. Everything suggested to him, he says won t help him. Help!

As per your query your husband had problem of having moldy smell coming from particular place . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like sinusitis , nasal polyp , allergic rhinitis , upper respiratory track infection and dental infection . I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles , maintain ptoper oral hygiene , do saline nasal rinses and take anti histamine like benadryl . If condition doesn't get improve then consult ENT specialist again for prper examination . Doctor may order CT scan , throat swab test and viral culture test . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics , anti allergic or anti viral depending upon the diagnosis . Doctor may also refer you to allergy specialist or dentist for oral prophylaxis .
