How To Determine Ovulation During Prolonged Menses Flow?

Hi doctor, I am suffering from pcod since last 12 years. From past 1 year , i am having prolonged periods which goes on for 45-55 days. I want to know , 1) do i ovulate in this condition. 2)How can I be sure when in this duration i ovulate ? Please answer

You are a patient of Poly Cystic Ovarian Disease or pcod and this is very common that patients have irregular bleeding or dysfunctional uterine bleeding od amenorrhea in pcod cases.
All these ( beside other signs and symptoms ) are due to hormonal imbalance . Now about the answer of your questions.
1 Usually patient of pcod cases have OVULATION , so you are also having .
2 Irregular bleeding is not a matter . Count day ONE when bleeding starts and count OVULATION occurs on 14th 15th day . The size of follicle ( dominant ) should be around 19-20 mm on the day 14 -15 at least to rupture and endometrium thickness must be around 11 mm to conceive.
