How To Detect Pregnancy?

I got my LMP on 07/27/11 and ovulated 08/08/11. I had unprotected sex the day before and two days after ovulation. On the evening of Monday 08/15, I started to experience some very light cramps. The next day on Tuesday 8/16 the cramps were a little stronger. They were not painful like period cramps. I had been pregnant before (had an abortion 04/10/10) and these are the same kind of cramps I experienced during pregnancy. I haven't had any spotting, but I'm incredibly bloated! I've been feeling very moody and exhausted. My period is supposed to start on Monday 08/22/11 (3 days). How much of a chance is it that I'm pregnant?

Hi,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns today.

You have been pregnant before. This is a good sign. It means that there is no apparent fertility problem.

From your notes it is clear that you have had unprotected sex in the fertile period. Among women trying for pregnancy 20-25% of them conceive in one menstrual cycle. So you have one in four chance of pregnancy.

The symptoms you are experiencing can be seen both in early pregnancy and premenstrually. So difficult to predict based on these symptoms.

I wish you good luck and hope that you are pregnant. Get a pregnancy test done if you miss your period.
I hope this is helpful.
If you have any further concerns do contact me through Healthcare Magic.
