How To Detect Pregnancy?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...

Basically I wanted to know if I'm pregnant, I've been trying for a baby for nearly a year now. I come off my period 5 days ago but I still feel a lot of pregnancy symptoms, I thought I was pregnant because of all the food cravings and really bad headaches I've been getting and heartburn and major mood swings but then I come on my period which only lasted 2 days and was rather light? Could I still be pregnant or am I just being hopeful?

Hi there, I have understood your concern. I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.

1 ) First of all do not panic

2 ) As you might be aware that the very first and important sign of pregnancy is a missing period. Though you had episode of some unusual type of bleeding, and some of the pregnancy symptoms, there is a dilemma about pregnancy .

3 ) Best way to confirm the diagnosis is to get morning's first sample of urine tested for pregnancy. In case of doubt blood beta HCG test and USG will be of help.

4 ) As you are trying for pregnancy, I will suggest you the following -
Please opt for a healthy diet and regular exercise regimen. Include more portions of fruits, salads and vegetables in daily diet. Drink plenty of water in the day . Avoid deep fried foods, bakery products and refined sugars. Use of vitamin B 12 and Folic acid supplements at least 3 months before you plan to get pregnant will be of help
This helps to prevent various complications during the pregnancy .

I hope this answer helps you. Thanks
