How To Cure Swelling And Redness Of Left Eye Due To An Injury?

Today in wellness we were playing dodgeball (I am in the 8th grade). One of the boys threw the ball at me and I didn t see it coming, and it hit my DIRECTLY in my left eye. And it wasn t a normal dodgeball, it was a special hard one . My eye immediately watered, turned red, and swelled. I got an instant headache. The swelling is still here, it hurts to blink or move it, and I still have a headache. Is my eye okay? Thanks.

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello
It seems from the history that you are having swelling and redness of the eye following an injury to the eye.
The initial treatment is by use of analgesic drugs and use of antibiotic eye drops.
Since the injury has involved the eyes directly this requires evaluation by a ophthalmologist to look for damage to the eye and treatment accordingly depending on the nature of injury and damage to the eye.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
