How To Cure Itching In The Labia Region After Having Sex?

Hi, I'm a 19 year old female. I'm having itching on the inside of my labia minora, and just inside of me. I didn't notice it until about 24hrs after using my tampons this month (I have not changed brands or sizes) It has now been about 12hrs and I've notices I'm having almost no discharge besides the menstrual fluids, If I take the tampon out I am completely dry. I also started about a week ago having sex with 1 partner after remaining abstinent for over a year. Please let me know what you think it could be.

Hello,
I have gone through the query and understood your concern. Your symptoms are suggestive of vaginosis. This can be due either to the use of tampons for prolonged period or due to sexual intercourse. Intercourse during the menstrual cycle increases the chances of infection due to the vulnerability of the tissues at the time. If tampons are retained for more than 4-6 hours, they can serve as culture media for infections. Please abstain from further intercourse until you are healed. See if your partner need treatment. Use sanitary napkins instead of tampons. Hope this helps.
