Hi, Thanks for taking your time and reading my question. I am 21 years old. I have heard that sperm leakage at night once in three weeks is considered as normal. I have sperm leakage at least once every week. Is it normal? And also is there a way to reduce or stop the sperm leakage at night?
Hi, Thanks for posting to HCM. I understand your concern. Night emissions (sperm leakage) or wet dreams is a spontaneous orgasm with involuntary ejaculation during sleep. It is quite common during adolescence and young adult age group. Its frequency is about once every three weeks, but might happen more frequently as you are experiencing. There is nothing to worry about as wet dreams are not indicative of health problems of any kind. There is no medical reason to work toward stopping them as it occurs spontaneously in every individual. You can reduce the frequency by keeping your mind calm by practice of meditation, sleeping on your back, avoiding spicy foods, avoiding beverages like coffee during night, developing a healthy relationship with sex and masturbation. Hope the information provided would be clear. All the best.
