How To Control Anxiety Before Visiting A Doctor?

Hello, my BP runs sometimes 130's to 140's, usually, but when I go the Dr I get extremely anxious and it raises very high, after I leave it returns to normal (for me), can I take anything beforehand to relax me without raising my blood pressure? Thankyou

It happens many times and it is called as a white coat syndrome. You may discuss this issue with your GP and can take a ciplar before the BP recordings by a doctor. However these days the automatic BP recording machines are available and are very accurate. You may use these recordings as well to monitor your BP.
