How To Alleviate Fuzziness And Fatigue Caused After Intake Of Carvedilol?

My husband is being treated with a number of drugs including carvedilol after have 4 stents put in his heart this summer. He is experiencing a crash about 1.5 hours after taking this drug - no energy, fuzzy head, no energy. Any suggestions to prevent the crash? We have tried separating this drug from the other drugs he takes by giving it to him at a later time with food.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear. Welcome to Healthcaremagic. I think you should consult his cardiologist for his situation. He will want to know all drugs he is taking for synergistic effects. This drug works by blocking the action of certain natural substances in your body, such as epinephrine, on the heart and blood vessels. This effect lowers your heart rate, blood pressure, and strain on your heart.
To reduce your risk of side effects, your doctor may direct you to start this medication at a low dose and gradually increase your dose. Follow your doctor's instructions carefully.
Take care. Hope my answer was helpful. If yes vote helpful. Regards, Dr Olgeta Xhufka.
