My mom (diabetic) is admitted in Ludhiana mediciti currently - she developed sever UTI which is under control now. The infection seems to be in control - however her condition (fever haemoglobin, BP, sugar) are still not controlled. Despite heavy doses of paracetamol & Ibuburfen etc. injected, not in control. Heavy doses of insulin & blood units are being consistently injected too.

Hello there,
Your Mother's condition is concerning. However now that UTI is under control fever will also come down. Sugars tend to go up during times of infection and it will gradually come down with insulin. Now that she is admitted in the hospital do not worry as every parameter is usually evaluated and treated according to the need. It may take some time for things to stabilise and till then discuss with her treating physician who will be the right person to allay your concerns.Considering that they are giving her blood units for hemoglobin also assures that Hb will get better. So do not worry. Keep faith in the doctors treating her.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
