How Should An Ovary Cyst, Infection And Discharge Odor Be Treated?

I have a tiny cyst on my right ovary. The ovary itself measures 38mm. I started bleeding out of the blue 6 months ago after having no menstral cycle for 8 yrs due to having the Implanon implant for 9 yrs and an endometrial Ablation in June of 2012. A swab test has shown signs of infection. Radiologist that took the pelvic ultrasound to check for abnormalities after I reported smelly discharge wants me to have at least another two cycles before he will take another pelvic ultrasound for comparison. Urine sample showed mixed bugs and blood traces. Last discharge was two weeks ago. Lasted 3 days. Pelvic ultrasound was nearly 2 weeks ago. Had new discharge Monday 13th of October.

OBGYN 's  Response
Hi,

Following is my reply:

1) The cyst is not a concern. Don't worry about it.
2) Get antibiotics prescribed for a urine infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

General Surgeon Dr. Shinas Hussain's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms are more likely suggestive if infective causes like bacterial vaginosis or yeast infection.

Consult a gynecologist and get a vaginal swab done to confirm the diagnosis. We have to rule out other possibilities also.

As of now, you can use Clotrimazole lotion to cleanse your genitals.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Shinas Hussain,
