How Obscene Is The Behavior Of A Person With Schizophrenia That Warrants Intervention Or Hospitalization?

My uncle is schizophrenic and is having a paranoid episode at present. This evening I witnessed him walkin the streets turning around in circles and kicking Walls? My mother has been his sole career all for the past 20 years but she is no longer able emotionally for the stress. My question is how obscene is the behaviour of a person wth schizophrenia that warrants intervention or hospitalisation? He is a very gentle man and is nit a threat to himself or anyone else. He justbhadvhis injection 10 days ago having missed it for the previous two months! I don t no what to do! I m living in Ireland

Hi
Thanks for using healthcare magic

In my opinion, he needs hospitalization. A patient with paranoid thoughts and odd behavior could harm himself and other people. In that case, better to consult a mental hospital and get him treated there. He needs immediate care. For admission, you can take help of police. In case, you need further help, you can ask.

Thanks
