How Much Life Is Left If Suffering From End Stage Copd And Emphysema?

my wife is in the end stage of severe copd and emphysema had pcemaker put in 2 weeks ago back in hosptial cant breath at all bp is 90 over 52 when she moves around heartrate 140 oxgen drops to78 putting fluids in iv to raise bp but its not helping none hiw much time you think she got left

Thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your wife's situation and problem.
COPD (chronic obstructive Pulmonary disease) is progressive Pulmonary disease.
In late stages oxygenation function of lung is decreased.
So this causes right sided heart failure and cor pulmonale.
Right sided heart failure is the cause for her hypotension.
Right sided heart failure in COPD patient carries poor prognosis.
She needs diuretics and cardiac isotropic drugs.
Excess fluid will harm her.
So ask your doctor to rule out heart failure by 2d echo and discuss about diuretics and cardiac isotropic drugs.
Life expectancy in her case is less than 2-3 years.
