hi i m nandini, 28 years old and now 13 weeks pregnant . i m taking miprogen daily. till how many weeks should i take this tablet?

miprogen contains progesterone, a hormone produced by the ody which is necessary for sustaining the pregnancy up to term. external supplemantation of this hormone is needed in pregnancy where the endogenous progesterone is slightly low. this can be taken upto 14 weeks.after 12 weeks the placenta starts to produce progesterone so external supplementation is not needed. this is eveidence based concensus. you can take it up to 14 weeks .
