How Long Painful Scar Behind Ear After Mastoidectomy And Meatoplasty Will Last?

I had a mastoidectomy and meatoplasty approximately 3 Months ago and the inside of my ear feels great but the outside scar behind my ear is very painful. The top part of my ear is also very painful. Should I still be having this pain and if so how long will it last and is there anything I can do fir it.

Hi.
This is a rare finding after mastoidectomy. This is a hypertrophied scar .
This needs to be treated by local injection of Kenacort.
Please request your Doctor, if he feels OK, he will give it or visit a Dermatologist.
Occasionally revision of the scar is also a good answer. Please discuss this with your ENT Doctor, He will definitely be in a position to give the right treatment.
I find this answer helpful
