pain is due to the local foriegn body like reaction which an
IUD is known to create, in fact pain is one of the most common complication of inserting an IUD.This may last for a day or two. If the pain is dull and you can put up with it, no problem, if it gets very severe with
cramps and
bleeding, you must get it removed and try for other methods of contraception
