How Long Does Recovery Take From Hysterectomy?

I am six weeks post-hysterectomy. I had TAH&BSO and am 48 years old. Have had (now cleared) wound infection and have partial dehiscence. Was told today I have granulation tissue with some remaining stitches partially dissolved on vaginal cuff and had silver nitrate treatment. Would like to know how long healing here is likely to take?

Hello,

I think you may need some more days to get healed. The granulation tissue may need to be cleaned if it has stitches and remaining tissue inside. You may need to visit a surgeon.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
