Hi I had knee replacement 7 wks ago the wound was healing but the bottom part oozed sometimes after a shower now got red swollen looking I was looking and touching it when it opened with pus and blood and now clear liquid. If I'm on oral antibiotics and use antibiotic ointment do you think it will heal on its own?
Hi Welcome to healthcaremagic After going through your query I concluded that you got total knee replacement 7 wks ago. Now it probably get infected as it is continuously discharging a clear fluid. i think you should report to your operating surgeon immediately as it is problematic now. Antibiotic can be taken according to culture and sensitivity of pus. Vitamin B and C help in recovery. Analgesic such as ibuprofen can be taken for pain relief. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. Hope your query get answered. If you have any further questions then don't hesitate to writing to us . I will be happy to help you.
