i am 38 weeks, 3 days, dilated at 1 cm. Baby hasn't dropped very low yet but I had a sweep today and i have been having sharp pains in my vagina and contractions for quite a few days now! Hello and welcome,

I understand your query.

The chances of going into labor depend upon a number of factors like the babies head, condition and position of cervix and so on. It is difficult to predict when labor will begin after a sweep, but if the factors are favorable then mostly the labor begins in 48 hours.

You already have a history of a post dated pregnancy. So it may likely recur this time too.

If the baby is moving well and there are no other issues, please wait.

All my best wishes are with you for a safe delivery.

Hope this satisfies your query.
