How Long Does Elevated Liver Enzymes Take To Stabilize?

I have been drinking daily for about 8 years...approx 4-8 drinks a day. My liver enzymes were slightly elevated a year ago and my ultra sound was normal. But I kept drinking. I stopped this week and am going to have a complete chem profile and liver function test next week. My question is how long does it take for liver enzymes to return to normal after prolong drinking if I don't have liver damage?

hi.
thanks for posting query at HCM

i read your query and understood your concern

In case there are elevated enzymes on liver test, then it takes "few weeks to few months" for liver enzymes to return to normal , provided treating physician advise is strictly followed.

wish you good health
regards
