How Long Do The Side Effects Of Minocycline Take To Subside?

I developed Tinnitus in January as side effect of taking naproxen for several months. Not knowing that Minocycline also affects Tinnitus and hearing, I ve been on that antibiotic for almost 30 days (one bottle) and the ringing has gotten worse! Will the side effects from the Minocycline go away or improve since I am done with prescription? The original tinnitus from the naproxen was less horrible than now. What can I do

Hello,

Tinnitus and decreased hearing have been reported in patients on MINOCIN.

The plasma half-life tends to be prolonged in patients with HEPATIC AND renal impairment.

It has a lower renal clearance than doxycycline and its plasma half-life ranges from 11-23 hours.

It penetrates well into thyroid, lung and liver tissues and in most instances, tissue levels exceed serum levels.

But don't worry at all.these side effects are reversible and will wean off with time.
