How Long Do Symptoms Of Acute Self Limiting Colitis Last?

I had diarrhoea for over 2 weeks. Had colonoscopy which was normal but samples of mucous from large intestine pointed to Acute Self Limiting Colitis. Diarrhoea has stopped but achy pain in lower abdomen continues. How long should it take before symptoms go away and I return to normal. Thanks
