How Long Can Pimafucort Be Used For Treatment Of A Lesion On The Leg?

Hello, My doctor prescribed Pimafucort for a lesion on the leg and advised me to discontinue use after 1 month which i did and use clotrimazole continuing. It has been 6 weeks since stopping the pimafucort which was highly effective. How long before I can use it again?

Hello,

You should know that usually it is not recommended to use pimafucort more than 14 days because it has a steroid component that could cause side effects. If you want to use it again after 1 month you should speak to your doctor because he should see the local situation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Monika Dede, Infectious Diseases Specialist
