How Fast In Can Smoke After Surgery In My Face?

Hey I had surgery last week, where i had multiple facial fractures hence they put in two metal plates. One on my orbital where they made an incision with my eye crease, and another right above my lip (made the incision underneath my lip) what i was wondering is how long I should wait before I could smoke again?

Hi,
Most doctors would advise against smoking. However, in terms of overall risk, if you start smoking now you will be at no higher risk than you were before the operation.
