How Effective Is Enteric Coated Aspirin To Protect Stomach?

I have been taking a full dose aspirin for 15 years after suffering a mild stroke. I have had no recurrence of stroke and am in excellent health. I exercise vigorously six days a week. In addition to guarding against another stroke, the aspirin helps me exercise vigorously by controlling pain. I have two questions: Should I switch to enteric coated aspirin to protect my stomach? If so, how many hours would I have to wait to realize the pain relief effect of aspirin?

Hi
Thanks for your query.
The aspirin given for stroke prevention is very low dose and does not cause much gastric irritation. hence no need to switch to enteric coated. Also, because it is low dose, it does not give pain relief.
Hope this helps.
Regards
