Does Aspirin Cause Soreness In Stomach?

I take a daily dose of low-dose aspirin. Last night I was feeling achey and took two regular aspirin (325 grams each). Today I am more a hey, have a slight fever (100.4) and have a very sore stomach. Is the aspirin causing the soreness in my stomach? What should I take for the fever?

Hello,
This is Dr. Klarida Papaqako answering your question. Thank you for posting your concern on HCM.

I agree with the fact that the aspirin might have caused the stomach soreness.
Its is one of the causes of problems in the stomach, if taken in normal doses for a long time. While taking it in small doses, have proven to have a good effect for the heart, as your doctor might have explained.

I would suggest to take a tablet of Paractemol 500mg for the fever and other small aches in the body, as needed, 6 times/day max.
Although, fever is a sign that may indicate the beginning of a problem, and according to the symptoms you may develop, you may need other symptomatic treatments.

If you have other questions, let me know.
Regards.
