Dear sir

Metformin is a biguanide drugs which is commonly used in type 2 diabetes patients. It does not control diabetes by increasing secretion of insulin instead it reduces the hepatic glucose output and insulin resistance. It is proved to be very effective in obese type 2 diabetes, it also got good cardiovascular profile..

But it does not cause the side effects that you are mentioning because its most of the side effects are related to gastrointestinal tract like nausea and metallic taste in mouth and vomiting.

It is very effective in diabetes so you can use it if you dont have any individual contraindications.

Thanks
