Hi,
I understand your concern. Polyhydramneos is a condition of increase in
amniotic fluid in
uterus.Your wife is diagnosed to have small increase in amniotic fluid, which can be many a times automatically corrected.
Still it's advisable to-
-Get her checked for exclusion/diagnosis of
diabetes,
kidney or heart problem.
Also if found to have any of them should take treatment for the condition under expert guidance.
- Be in regular touch with her doctor /have follow up USGs to assess amniotic fluid level To be aware of need of medication/intervention as per doctor's advice.
- USG to exclude fetal anomaly is important.
- diet restrictions/supplements don't have significant effect on the course of condition.Let her have easily digestible, non spicy, nutritious diet
* let her have restricted movements/avoiding physical stress/strain. Let her have positive attitude.
* let her have an expectant treatment with close observation of the fluid level & baby condition to be assessed by the doctor. With careful follow up many a times patients are taken up to term followed by child birth.
Thanks.
