How Can Uterine Cancer Be Treated?

My mom has been diagnosed with Uterine Cancer and is waiting to see a doctor, which she can not get in till next Friday. She is having a lot of bleeding and passing a lot of blood clots. Should we try to wait or take her to the emergency room now?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Based on your description, it would be advisable to treat your mother on emergency basis. First preference under such circumstances is to control bleeding as she may go in for hypovolemia and hypovolemic shock.

Once she is stabilized, the treatment for the cancer can be instituted.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashakiran S
