* As per my surgical experience, the intense pain with bleed after TURP surgery indicate possible edema at the operative site or retention of blood clots in the urinary bladder most likely.
* In my clinic, I undertake Ultrasound of the patient in this regard and advise accordingly for further guidance which may include antibiotic as per the urine culture, clot evacuation with cystoscopy, catheter insertion or else as per the clinical need.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
