Hello,

Your brother has symptoms of tinnitus in ears which is not a condition rather is a symptom of an underlying condition, such as ear injuryear infection, TMJ dysfunction and could be due to circulatory system disorder.

Need not to worry. You should avoid touching or pricking ear. Maintain hygiene of the ear canal. I would suggest you consult ENT specialist for proper examination and to find out the exact cause. The doctor may order certain tests like an audiological test, rushing test, high and low pitched test. The doctor may prescribe devices like hearing aids and masking devices.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
