How Can Throat Irritation Be Treated?

I have had to kept clearing my throat for several months now. It is not sore but feels irritated sometimes. I have taken antihistamines and prednisone for fluid in ears and a cough that did not clear up. I get strangled easily on just liquids and have coughing spells.

Hello, kindly make sure you are not having an allergic reaction to something. You can try a mast cell stabilizer with antihistamines for greater effect. It seems you have a post nasal drip which keeps you coughing. Post nasal drip could be due to sinusitis, rhinitis etc. Kindly consult an ENT specialist in this regard. Thanks.
