How Can Throat Ache Along With Headache And Nausea Be Treated?

My daughter is in her first year at college, living in the dorms, and is sick all the time. Just got back from winter break and she called me with horrible throat ache, slight neck ache, no head ache or nausea, but worried about meningitis...she s going to health center in morning. She s been sick about 3 days.

Hello!
I have been through your question.
Related your concern I think you should not worry because I think this could be a viral situation for the moment (based on your clinical data no headache or nausea and slight neckache) and not complicated with meningitis. Furthermore is a good news that she is going in a health center to do a physical examination( see for neck stiffness) to define better the diagnosis and to exclude definitely your suspicion for meningitis.
I hope my answer help you.
I wish your daughter a quick recovery.
