Hi my daughter has severe tonsillitis her temp at 4:30 was 39.9 it’s now 38.2 I’ve woke her form her sleep and she’s sweating that bad that her cloths are wet she’s taking penicillin ibuprofen paracetamol and throat spray is the sweats anything to worry about my daughter is 13yo thank you
It looks like your daughter is suffering from viral infection causing fever and tonsillitis.. Sweating is commonly seen when there is fever as it is a way of body to maintain normal temperature of the body.. So do not worry about it as it will subside as the infection resolves.. She should finish her course of medication as the medicine is appropriate that she is taking.. Along with it she can also do warm saline gargles and suck throat lozenges. Cepacol lozenges that contains numbing agent can help in reducing throat pain.. In case if the symptoms does not get better in another 3-4 days consult an Emergency room and get evaluated..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
