How Can Severe Pain After Passing A Kidney Stone Be Treated?

Hi, I m currently passing a kidney stone and I took a pain killer, ketorolac, at 1:55pm. The pain didn t go away so I took 2 Tylenol tablets at 6:30ish. I was wondering if it ll effect me if I take another ketorolac since it says to take one every 4 to 6 hours.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to renal stone.

For pain you can take tablet acetaminophen.

You may require ultrasound abdomen and pelvis, urine analysis after physician consultation

Further treatment mainly depends upon the underlying condition.

Keep your self hydrated

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam Kale
