Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

After using Lexapro for so many years, and suddenly changing to other medicine itself can induce anxiety attacks. As you have told you are having financial constraints, I can suggest you to ask your treating psychiatrist about the same medicine salt but in some cheaper brand. There are several brands available of the same salt in the market with different price tags. I would not suggest you to change your medicine at the cost of your health.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Prashant Gohil
