Hi there,

Unfortunately, the hair that has already grown out during the time that you had the ringworm will be weaker and prone to breakage. The medication will not heal the hair that has already grown, it will only make newly grown hair stronger. So you may still notice hair breakage even after the medication is completed, but the breakage should be further away from the scalp, since the new hair is strong. I would advise you to postpone your salon visit as long as you can to make the breakage less noticeable.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Dr. Teh
