Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

In a 6 month old child with restlessness specially after meningocele rupture other symptoms are also very important such as fever for any central nervous system infection, also any associated hydrocephalous, electrolyte imbalance, serum sodium, potassium for associated SIADH, and as the child is on IV fluids, along with serum calcium. Along with symptomatic management of pain, hunger etc.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
