How Can Recovery From Chronic Gastritis Be Speeded Up?

my son was diagnosed with cronic gastritis this weekend. we have him on mini meals every 2 hours and a low acidic diet. He's on a prescription ant-acid and tylenol for pain. the hospital told us he needs to take the ant-acids for 8 weeks to give his stomach a break from the acids to help him heal. Is there anything else I can do to help speed his recovery?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if this is the gastritis without the infection then it can be managed with PPI (Proton pump inhibitor) instead of taking antacid, gastritis is the inflammatory condition stomach (Inner wall), PPI like Tab Omeprazole 40 mg once in day can heal the lesion much better than antacid hope this information helps.
