How Can Painful Hemorrhoids Be Treated?

I have a hemorhoids, which I the past have never been painful, but itch very much. Last week I scratched so much that I have broken the skin around the haemorrhoid & between the bottom cheeks. I have cleaned the area 3/4 times a day, dried properly & applied hidrocortison hemerhoid cream. After 5 days it still isn t healing, is weeping & is so painful. I would be grateful for any advise.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per my case evaluation, definite management would be surgery after clinical confirmation.

Primary relieving factors would be
- Sitz bath.
- Local application of soothing creams as Xylocaine
- Analgesic with anti inflammatory action.
- High fiber diet with plenty liquids.
- Bulk forming laxative to keep stool consistency soft.

Do continue to use our medical services.

Regards.
